Football Game Recap: Cheylin vs. Rolla

Everything went Cheylin's way against Rolla on Friday as they made off with a 74-43 win. Cheylin were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.

No one put up better numbers for Cheylin than sophomore Colton McCarty, who brought his A game into the match. He rushed for 254 yards and 6 touchdowns. In fact, with 16 tackles McCarty was a force on both sides of the ball. Additional support came from defensive powerhouse sophomore Joseph Melton, who racked up 20 tackles. The contest brought Cheylin to 2-0 and dropped Rolla to a mirror-image 0-2.

Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Cheylin are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Pawnee Heights next week . Rolla will be defending their home turf for the first time when they go up against Golden Plains .
