Normal West is a perfect 8-0 against Richwoods since May of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Wildcats will take on the Knights at 10:00 a.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses apiece.

On Tuesday, Normal West didn't have quite enough to beat Bloomington and fell 2-1.

Normal West saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was McKinley Pate, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Meanwhile, Richwoods fell victim to Bloomington and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 6-0 to the Purple Raiders.

Richwoods' loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Normal West, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.

Normal West took their victory against Richwoods in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 14-4 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
