Basketball Recap: Charlestown Picks Up Second Consecutive Win

If Madison wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Charlestown, they should've done a better job of containing Anthony Fresh. The Charlestown Pirates walked away with a 67-58 win over the Madison Cubs on Tuesday thanks in part to Fresh, who went 11 for 16 en route to 27 points and seven boards. His evening made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

The victory made it two in a row for Charlestown and bumps their season record up to 10-2. As for Madison, they dropped their record down to 4-9 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Charlestown will be playing at home against Eastern at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Charlestown is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63.8 points per game this season. As for Madison, they will head out to challenge Rushville at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Madison is facing Rushville at the right time seeing as Rushville is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
