Basketball Recap: Highlands Gets the Win

Highlands won against Hiwassee Dam last Friday with 48 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Wednesday. The Highlands Highlanders came out on top against the Andrews Wildcats by a score of 48-41. While the Highlanders didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

The victory made it two in a row for Highlands and bumps their season record up to 6-3. As for Andrews, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Highlands will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Murphy at 6:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025. As for Andrews, they will be home for the holidays to greet Smoky Mountain at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
