Softball Recap: Indian River Indians vs. Cape Henlopen Vikings
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Caravel, Indian River was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cape Henlopen Vikings and snuck past 9-8. That's more bragging rights for Indian River, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Megan Daisey was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and four unearned) runs off eight hits. Daisey was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and a double.
