Basketball Recap: River Valley Skates Past West Monona with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask River Valley). They blew past the West Monona Spartans 65-37 on Friday. The Wolverines have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 22 points or more this season.

The win was the third in a row for River Valley, bringing their record for this year to 6-5. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.7 points per game. As for West Monona, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

River Valley will challenge Alta-Aurelia at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. River Valley has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for West Monona, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 60-56 defeat against Boyer Valley on the 11th.
