Kentlake lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Auburn Mountainview, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's contest. The Falcons were the clear victors by a 14-3 margin over the Lions on Thursday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Falcons considering their two-run performance the matchup before.

Christopher Moore was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. Moore was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three RBI.

Meanwhile, White River got themselves on the board against Kent-Meridian on Thursday, but Kent-Meridian never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Royals with a sharp 15-0 win. Winning may never get old, but the Hornets sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Like Kentlake, White River also got a great game from a two-way player: Kolton Jensen. He tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Jensen also tossed a walk, which is notable because White River is 6-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 3-9 otherwise. Jensen was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base.

In other batting news, White River got a big performance out of Alex Kelley, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. Kelley has become a key player for the Hornets: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 5-10 otherwise. Lucas Brazier was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Kentlake is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-6-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for White River, their win bumped their record up to 9-10.
