Softball Recap: Putnam Takes a Loss

Putnam was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 15-0 to the Killingly Redmen. The Clippers were not able to make up for their loss to the Redmen from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Putnam's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Killingly, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Putnam will face off against Norwich RVT at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Killingly, they will challenge Ledyard at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday. The Colonels will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Redmen surely won't give up without a fight.
