Baseball Recap: Sehome Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Sehome's offense. They fell just short of the Burlington-Edison Tigers by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Mariners in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost five in a row.

Sehome saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jad Geiger, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Sehome's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Burlington-Edison, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Sehome will square off against rival Bellingham at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Burlington-Edison is set to challenge their familiar foe Ferndale at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
