Softball Recap: Delcambre's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

After a string of three wins, Delcambre's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 16-11 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Westlake Rams.

Kylee Duplantis made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in hits. The team also got some help courtesy of Trystin Touchet, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-4.

Even though they lost, Delcambre always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .578. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .526 or higher in three consecutive matches.

Delcambre's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Westlake, their win bumped their record up to 5-8.

We've got a battle between Panthers coming up. As for Westlake, they will take on Pitkin at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
