Basketball Game Preview: Space Coast Vipers vs. Titusville Terriers

Space Coast hasn't had much luck against Titusville recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Space Coast Vipers will be home for the holidays to greet the Titusville Terriers at 6:00 p.m.

Space Coast is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Bayside on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Space Coast was outmatched by Bayside and fell 71-19. The match marked the Vipers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Titusville hadn't done well against Astronaut recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Titusville narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Astronaut 58-55. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Terriers have posted since December 1, 2023.

Titusville has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 4-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.4 points per game. As for Space Coast, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-8.

Space Coast might still be hurting after the 59-39 defeat they got from Titusville when the teams last played back in January.
