Basketball Recap: Stanton County Trojans vs. Holly Wildcats
Stanton County took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Holly Wildcats 62-33. This was payback for the Trojans, who suffered a 62-48 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Stanton County was led to victory by David Crane and Gerardo Robles. Crane dropped a double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds, while Robles went 8-for-13 to rack up 19 points in addition to seven boards and four steals. The contest was Robles' fifth in a row with at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was Corey Wilson, who posted 11 points.
Stanton County was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Holly only posted three.
Despite the loss, Holly still got an impressive performance from Drayden Williams, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and ten boards. Williams is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games he's played dating back to last season.
Looking ahead, Stanton County will head out on the road to challenge Greeley County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Holly, they will take on South Baca [Campo/Vilas/Pritchett] at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
