Softball Recap: Santiam Wolverines vs. Mohawk Mustangs
In what's become a running theme this season, Santiam gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They put the hurt on the Mohawk Mustangs with a sharp 21-3 win. The victory was nothing new for Santiam as they're now sitting on four straight.
Santiam got a massive performance out of Boston Flores, who scored two runs and stole four bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Flores hasn't dropped below three stolen bases for three straight games. Madie Allen was another key contributor, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-2.
Santiam's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-4. As for Mohawk, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-9.
Santiam will head out on the road to square off against Regis at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Santiam knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy run totals in its past four games -- so hopefully Regis likes a good challenge. As for Mohawk, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Culver at 3:00 p.m. Mohawk is facing Culver at the right time seeing as Culver is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
