Volleyball Recap: Senath-Hornersville Lions vs. Twin Rivers Royals
After flying high against Delta last Monday, Senath-Hornersville came back down to earth. The Senath-Hornersville Lions fell just short of the Twin Rivers Royals by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Royals apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September.
Senath-Hornersville took Twin Rivers into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-23, 20-25, 26-28, 15-13.
Lily Chandler paced Senath-Hornersville's offense, picking up 23 kills. Chandler got some help from
Lyvana Reyes-Lopez and her 33 assists. Chandler was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.
Senath-Hornersville's loss dropped their record down to 10-15-1. As for Twin Rivers, their record now sits at 10-18.
