Buford took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Thursday. They skirted past the Hebron Christian Lions 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Wolves have posted since August 29, 2024.

Buford had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-18, 15-10.

Leading Buford to victory were Addie Williams and Reagan Callender. Williams had six digs and three assists, while Callender had three digs and two aces. That's the most aces Callender has posted since back in October of 2024.

Coincidentally, Buford and Hebron Christian will both be playing Lambert the next time they take the court. The Lions will head out to face the Longhorns at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Wolves will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
