Baseball Recap: Halifax's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Thursday

Halifax dropped their record down to 18-3 on Thursday, which also ended the team's seven-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Camp Hill Lions by a score of 3-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-4 back in March.

Halifax saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Midile, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

As for Camp Hill, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.4 runs over those games.

On Camp Hill's side, Jonathan Drawbaugh spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up 12 Ks. Drawbaugh has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

As of now, neither Halifax nor Camp Hill have any future games scheduled.
