Softball Recap: Hico Takes a Loss

Hico was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 7-2 to the Clifton Cubs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cubs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-4 last Tuesday.

Hico saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caroline Mullin, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Hico's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Clifton, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Coincidentally, Hico and Clifton will both be playing Moody the next time they take the field. Clifton will host Moody at 2:15 p.m. on Friday, while Hico will head out to face them at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
