 North was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight  loss. They lost  18-6 to the East Bakersfield Blades. The result was an unpleasant reminder to North of the  9-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in April.

 On East Bakersfield's side,  the team  relied heavily on  Esiah Santiago, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances.  Nathaniel Guillen was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
 North's loss dropped their record down to 9-16. As for East Bakersfield, the  victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-13.
 While North had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday.
