Football Game Preview: St. Francis Spartans vs. Prairie Ridge Wolves + Official Tickets

The St. Francis Spartans will take on the Prairie Ridge Wolves at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

St. Francis is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They came out on top against Morgan Park by a score of 35-28.

Meanwhile, Prairie Ridge strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They enjoyed a cozy 46-30 win over Vernon Hills. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Wolves' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while the Cougars are ranked 276th).

Prairie Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 10-0. As for St. Francis, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.

St. Francis beat Prairie Ridge 30-21 when the teams last played back in November of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Spartans since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
