Basketball Recap: Covington Comes Up Short

After soaring to 75 points the game before, Covington was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Fountain Central Mustangs an easy 46-25 win. The Trojans haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Covington's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Fountain Central, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.

Covington didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 58-57 loss against Attica on the 21st. As for Fountain Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 44-26 victory against Seeger on the 21st.
