Softball Recap: New Dorp Comes Up Short

New Dorp fell victim to Tottenville and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Pirates, falling 19-0. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 9, 2019, but that streak is no more.

New Dorp's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Tottenville, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1.

Coming up, New Dorp will be playing at home against Scholars Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tottenville, they will take on Fort Hamilton at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Pirates 2.9, the Tigers 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
