Volleyball Game Preview: Forest Wildcats vs. Lake Weir Hurricanes

Forest has gone a perfect 10-0 against Lake Weir recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Forest Wildcats will square off against the Lake Weir Hurricanes at 6:00 p.m. Lake Weir took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Forest, who comes in off a win.

Forest won the last time they faced North Marion, and Brody Wilemon did his part to make sure it happened again. Everything went Forest's way against North Marion on Wednesday as Forest made off with a 3-0 win with plenty of help from Wilemon, who had six digs and four aces. That's the most aces he has posted since back in April of 2024.

Forest never let North Marion on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-20, 25-22.

Lake Weir kicked off their season on the road on Monday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell just short of North Marion by a score of 3-2.

Lake Weir started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 26-28, 20-25, 25-21, 25-19, 16-14.

Everything went Forest's way against Lake Weir when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Forest made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Forest since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
