Volleyball Game Preview: Escondido Cougars vs. San Marcos Knights

The Escondido Cougars will square off against the San Marcos Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Escondido has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 1.

Escondido came up short against Mission Hills on Wednesday, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-15, 25-17.

Meanwhile, San Marcos didn't have quite enough to beat Pacific Ridge on Thursday and fell 3-2.

San Marcos wouldn't go down easily and took Pacific Ridge into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking six-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-13, 19-25, 16-25, 15-9.

Escondido's defeat dropped their record down to 9-19. As for San Marcos, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-11.
