            Baseball Recap: Lamesa Tornadoes vs. Eunice Cardinals        
        
		
        
        
            If Lamesa was riding high  fresh off their  12-2 takedown of Coahoma last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tornadoes fell just short of the Eunice Cardinals by a score of  5-4 on Monday. The Tornadoes have struggled against the Cardinals recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.
  Noah Rodriguez and  Xavier Zorola stepped up to the plate in a big way.  Rodriguez  scored a  run while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances, while  Zorola  scored a  run while going 2-for-2.  Jonah Muniz was another key player,  going 1-for-2 with one  triple, one  run,  and one  RBI.
Lamesa's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Eunice, the  victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lamesa will venture away from home to  take on Brownfield  at 12:00  p.m.  on Saturday. As for Eunice, they will square off against Jal at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
