Recap: Poudre Impalas vs. Greeley Central Wildcats
The Poudre Impalas had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They put the hurt on Greeley Central with a sharp 52-29 win on Tuesday. Winning is a bit easier when you work as a team to post eight more assists than your opponent, as Poudre did.
Among those leading the charge was Kavi Voglund, who scored 18 points along with 6 steals and 5 rebounds. Jaqueline Forrest was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 4 steals.
Greeley Central's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Madison Sepeda, who scored 10 points along with 4 steals, and Aaniya Davis who scored 8 points. Sepeda scored a full 34.5% of Greeley Central's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Poudre's win bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Greeley Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Poudre's road trip will continue as they head out to face Mountain View at 5:00 p.m. on December 7th. As for Greeley Central, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Green Mountain at 6:30 p.m. Hopefully Green Mountain focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Saturday.
