Softball Recap: Clarksville Academy Cougars vs. Stewart County Rebels
Clarksville Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 8-3 to the Stewart County Rebels. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Clarksville Academy of the 8-7 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture last Monday.
For Stewart County's part, Cara Bucciarelli made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. Bucciarelli was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.
In other batting news, Addison Arnold was incredible, going 2-for-4 with a triple, two RBI, and a run. Addison Fitzhugh was another key contributor, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.
