Preview: Mobile Christian Leopards vs. Saint James Trojans
The Mobile Christian Leopards will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Saint James Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on December 1st. Mobile Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 13 matches -- so hopefully Saint James likes a good challenge.
Mobile Christian extended their postseason success on Friday against Trinity Presbyterian. They put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 42-21 victory. Fans of Mobile Christian have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season ended as a blowout.
Mobile Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Damien Gatson led the charge by throwing for 254 yards and three touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Woullard, who gained 47 total yards and three touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Saint James had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.2 points), and they went ahead and made it seven on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Thomasville and snuck past 28-26.
Mobile Christian's win bumped their record up to 13-0. As for Saint James, the last time they lost on the road was back back in September. Having now won five straight away games, they've pushed their record up to 11-2.
Mobile Christian was taken down by Saint James 35-7 in their previous meeting back in November of 2022. Thankfully for Mobile Christian, Cosner Harrison (who rushed for 162 yards and three touchdowns) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
