It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Blythewood ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Lancaster Bruins, sneaking past 10-9. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bengals have posted since March 8th.

Blythewood is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games.
