Preview: DeKalb vs. Chilhowee/Leeton
DeKalb will be defending their home turf for the first time on Friday when they go up against Chilhowee/Leeton at 7:00 PM. Both teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.
DeKalb had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They found themselves the relunctant recipients of an unpleasant 14-40 punch to the gut against Rock Port last Friday. DeKalb were down by 6-32 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Chilhowee/Leeton also just played their first game, also were on the road, and also didn't get the result they wanted. They were completely outmatched, falling 8-52 to Orrick.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better score. Chilhowee/Leeton's offensive line will need to gear up for a tough test against a DeKalb defensive front that amassed 3.0 sacks against Rock Port, so we'll see if they are up to the task.
