Hubbard has no trouble against Riesel

Even though the Hubbard Jaguars have not done well against the Riesel Indians recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Hubbard took down Riesel 51-36. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Hubbard also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.

Riesel's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Trent Hickerson, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Hickerson hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Matthew Hawkins, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.

Hubbard is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 14-10 record this season. As for Riesel, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-11.

Hubbard will head out on the road to square off against Dawson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Riesel, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Marlin at 6:30 p.m. Marlin is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games.
