Newmarket faced Nute in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Mules blew past the Rams 11-2. Considering the Mules have won eight games by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Newmarket's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-3. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Nute, the loss snapped their winning streak at nine games and leaves them with a 12-4 record.

Newmarket will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Rams: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
