Lindsay Lane Christian Academy had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Muscle Shoals Trojans 2-1. This was payback for the Lions, who suffered a 2-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

If you add up the scores from across all three sets (63-60) Lindsay Lane Christian Academy actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 27-25, 15-13.
