While Westminster Christian Academy's win against Gatewood wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Lions sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Gators on Thursday. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Gators recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Westminster Christian Academy was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 14-25, 25-20, 20-25, 25-15, 15-9.

Westminster Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Gatewood, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Coincidentally, Westminster Christian Academy and Gatewood will both be playing Augusta Prep the next time they take the court. The Lions will host the Cavaliers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Gators will host them at 6:00 p.m. on September 9.
