Volleyball Recap: Cheraw Starts off Right with Win over Mullins + How To Watch

Cheraw took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Mullins Auctioneers with a sharp 3-0 win. The Braves not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 19, 2024 (when they won 3-0).

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Cheraw was: they took every set by at least 16 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-9, 25-4.

Jaylaya Hudley paced Cheraw's offense, picking up nine kills. Hudley got some help from Kalah Johnson and her nine assists. Johnson and Hudley didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with seven apiece.

Mullins dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cheraw will host Central at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mullins, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Virtus Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
