It's playoff time, and Rocky River had no trouble coming through when it counted. They managed a 20-15 victory over the Midview Middies on Friday. Those 20 points were actually the fewest the Pirates have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Ryan Taylor threw for 247 yards and one touchdown. Tristin Hughes was his top target, picking up 102 receiving yards and one score.

Despite the loss, Midview still got an impressive performance from Marcus McMahon, who rushed for 219 yards and one TD.

Rocky River is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 13.9 points on average over those games. As for Midview, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Looking ahead, Rocky River is taking a road trip to square off against Revere at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Midview does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
