Football Game Preview: Pueblo West Cyclones vs. Montrose Red Hawks + How To Watch

The Pueblo West Cyclones will face off against the Montrose Red Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Pueblo West's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Falcon 37-0. The win continues a trend for the Cyclones in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now won five in a row.

Pueblo West can attribute much of their success to Zach Duran, who rushed for 109 yards on only 13 carries. That's the most rushing yards Duran has posted since back in August.

Duran was just one part of a punishing run game: Pueblo West was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 314 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Montrose over Widefield in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Red Hawks blew the Gladiators out of the water with a 61-6 final score. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 49-6.

Pueblo West's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Montrose, their win bumped their record up to 9-0.

Pueblo West came up short against Montrose in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, falling 18-7. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Red Hawks' Elijah Womack, who rushed for 123 yards and a pair of scores.
