Basketball Game Preview: Flagler Panthers vs. Stratton Eagles

Flagler hasn't had much luck against Stratton recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Flagler Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Stratton Eagles at 7:30 p.m.

Last Saturday, Flagler ended up a good deal behind Springfield and lost 67-50.

Despite the loss, Flagler got top-tier performance from Braden Hill, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 12 boards. Another player making a difference was Zaniel Salee, who posted 13 points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Stratton came tearing into Saturday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took down the Bulldogs 50-36.

Stratton pushed their record up to 10-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.3 points over those games. As for Flagler, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-11.

Flagler was taken down by Stratton 74-37 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Flagler was down 55-14.
