Volleyball Recap: Animo South Los Angeles Triumphs

On Wednesday, the Animo South Los Angeles Panthers earned a 3-1 victory over the George Washington Prep Generals.

Animo South Los Angeles was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-11, 23-25, 25-20, 25-18.

Prince Amir Kuumba paced Animo South Los Angeles' offense, picking up 15 kills. Kuumba got some help from Jonathan Alas and his 23 assists. Dony Trigueros controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Animo South Los Angeles now has a winning record of 6-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Animo South Los Angeles will head out to challenge Rise Kohyang at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Rise Kohyang will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Animo South Los Angeles surely won't give up without a fight. As for George Washington Prep, they are taking a road trip to face off against Dymally at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. This will be George Washington Prep's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
