Recap: Goldwater Bulldogs vs. Estrella Foothills Wolves

The Goldwater Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They were beaten by Estrella Foothills 88-15. Goldwater has not had much luck with Estrella Foothills recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Estrella Foothills was led to victory by Omareeya Brown and Nemo Sidhu. Brown dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds, while Sidhu scored 20 points along with seven steals. Brown is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Eva Amenhauser, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and four steals.

Goldwater has been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season. As for Estrella Foothills, they pushed their record up to 24-3 with that win, which was their 21st straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Goldwater and Deer Valley will face off at 5:30 p.m. on January 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Deer Valley presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Goldwater in Arizona (Deer Valley is ranked 49th, while Goldwater is ranked 236th). As for Estrella Foothills, Estrella Foothills and Peoria will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Peoria is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.
