Basketball Game Preview: Russell Broncos vs. Ellis Railroaders

The Russell Broncos will take on the Ellis Railroaders at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Ellis took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Russell, who comes in off a win.

Last Thursday, Russell earned a 46-39 win over Smoky Valley.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Russell to victory, but perhaps none more so than Norah Mooney, who posted 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubrey Birney, who went 5 for 8 en route to 15 points and six rebounds.

Meanwhile, Ellis didn't have quite enough to beat Norton on Friday and fell 33-31.

Russell's victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-9. As for Ellis, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.

Russell strolled past Ellis in their previous meeting last Thursday by a score of 64-47. Does Russell have another victory up their sleeve, or will Ellis turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
