Humboldt won the last time they faced Hempstead and things went their way on Saturday too. The Wildcats walked away with a 2-0 win over the Mustangs.

Humboldt's victory bumped their record up to 16-4. As for Hempstead, their loss dropped their record down to 8-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Humboldt will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Clarion-Goldfield at 5:30 p.m. on October 2. As for Hempstead, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Davenport West on Saturday.
