Soccer Recap: Smithville Takes a Loss

Smithville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the La Grange Leopards, falling 7-0. Smithville were not able to make up for their loss to La Grange from their previous meeting back in March of 2025.

Smithville's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for La Grange, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3-2 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Smithville will square off against rival Giddings at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, La Grange is set to face off against their familiar foe Taylor at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
