Basketball Recap: Strasburg Comes Up Short

If Strasburg was feeling good fresh off their 60-34 takedown of Fort Defiance last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Strasburg Rams took a 42-28 bruising from the Buckhannon-Upshur Buccaneers on Monday. The game marked the Rams' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Strasburg's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Buckhannon-Upshur, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-5.

Strasburg wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 58-51 loss against Skyline on the 30th. As for Buckhannon-Upshur, they will welcome Wheeling Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025. Wheeling Central Catholic knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight matches -- so hopefully Buckhannon-Upshur likes a good challenge.
