Basketball Recap: Northeast Comes Up Short

Northeast was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were outmatched by the Monticello Panthers and fell 66-36. The Rebels were not able to make up for their defeat to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in February of 2025.

Northeast's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Monticello, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-3.

Looking ahead, Northeast will head out on the road to square off against Marquette at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Monticello, they will square off against Maquoketa at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
