Soccer Game Preview: Northview vs. Pike Central

The Northview Knights will face off against the Pike Central Chargers at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Pike Central better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if Northview's game on Wednesday is any indication, that's when Northview really gets things going. The Knights never let Owen Valley get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory.

Meanwhile, Pike Central's game on Wednesday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They had just enough and edged out Wood Memorial 1-0. Pike Central wouldn't have won without Ava Aaserud, who scored the game-winner.

Northview pushed their record up to 6-7-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those three matchups. As for Pike Central, their win bumped their record up to 9-4-1.
