Soccer Game Preview: Progreso vs. Tivy

The Progreso Red Ants will head out to square off against the Tivy Antlers at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Progreso is headed into Saturday's match hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight losses. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of Nacogdoches. That's two games in a row now that Progreso have lost by just one goal.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Tivy was forced to settle for a draw. They and Cypress Ranch finished up their matchup with a 1-1 draw on Friday.

Progreso's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. Tivy's draw makes their record 5-2-1 this season.
