Baseball Game Preview: East Ridge Warriors vs. Pike County Central Hawks

East Ridge hasn't had much luck against Pike County Central recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Warriors will square off against the Hawks at 7:30 p.m. East Ridge has given up an average of 11.5 runs per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

East Ridge came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 17-4 to Shelby Valley.

Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Pike County Central ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 win over Perry County Central. While the Hawks didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-20), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

East Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Pike County Central, their record now sits at 12-6.

East Ridge might still be hurting after the 16-1 defeat they got from Pike County Central when the teams last played back in March. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
