Baseball Recap: East Canton Takes a Loss

After flying high against Waterloo on Thursday, East Canton came back down to earth. The Hornets fell just short of the Woodridge Bulldogs by a score of 5-3 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Hornets have suffered since April 23, 2024.

East Canton's defeat dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Woodridge, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-13.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Canton will venture away from home to challenge David Anderson at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Woodridge, they will head out to face off against Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Royals will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight.
