Baseball Game Preview: Hamilton Big Blue vs. Lakota East Thunderhawks

The Hamilton Big Blue will venture away from home to face off against the Lakota East Thunderhawks at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Hamilton is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past West Clermont 6-4.

Peyton Davis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on four hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kaleb Powers, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one run and one RBI. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of William Baker, who went 1-for-3 with two runs.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Wednesday Lakota East sidestepped Little Miami for a 6-5 win. The Thunderhawks haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Lakota East's win bumped their record up to 16-11. As for Hamilton, they now have a winning record of 14-13.
