Basketball Recap: Lovejoy Comes Up Short

Lovejoy managed to slip by Locust Grove the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Lovejoy was outmatched by Locust Grove and fell 74-40. Lovejoy just can't catch a break and has now endured four losses in a row dating back to last season.

Lovejoy's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Skyler Worthey, who posted two points.

Lovejoy's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Locust Grove, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Lovejoy has already played their next contest, a 55-43 defeat against Spalding on the 19th. As for Locust Grove, they will face off against Morrow at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Wildcats will need to watch out since the Mustangs have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
